One week ago today, I had the honor of attending a friends wedding.  It was a first for me. Not the first wedding I have attended but the first wedding on New Year’s Eve. And what fun it was.  I knew you would want to hear all about it. 😀

First of all I must say it was an absolute beautiful wedding ceremony and reception.  It was held at The Barn At Crescent Lake https://barnatcrescentlake.com/ which is located just outside of Tampa in Florida. The bride was dressed in a beautiful white lace dress and the groom in a cowboy hat, cowboy boots, jeans and a white shirt and vest.  Many of the guests were also wearing cowboy hats and boots as well. (Did I have my boots on, you ask?  Heck yeah!)

The wedding ceremony took place outside with the perfect amount of sun and not too hot. The reception was held in an open barn with lovely decorated tables and little rooms for the cake table, gift table, bar area and an area for the buffet and dancing.  Instead of having a guest book, they had a large decorated sign and everyone was asked to write their best wishes on it.

During the rehearsal there was a donkey on the farm that loved to “talk”.  The bride joked that wouldn’t it be neat if he talked during the wedding ceremony.  Well, sure enough, while they were exchanging vows, all of a sudden the donkey started talking very loudly.  It was hilarious.  He was so loud that everything sort of stopped for a moment and everyone turned around to look at him.

That is something they will always remember years down the road when they think back on their beautiful wedding day.  I thought you might enjoy seeing a few of the pictures I took.
