Gulfport, Florida…a little bit of paradise that is unbeknownst to most? Yes, it certainly is! Located in Pinellas County, bordering St. Petersburg and the Boca Ciega Bay, Gulfport is a place you will surely want to visit. With its lovely beach and long fishing pier, awesome art decor (located in the art district), delicious restaurants, and fabulous bay front views, it’s a little slice of paradise..the people are friendly, the food is magnificent and wrap that up with a beautiful view of boats anchored in the bay, the gorgeous sunsets and what is not to love? And it is doggy friendly and there is a playground for the kiddos to burn off extra energy. I say win win for everyone. Gulfport is truly loved by the young and old.
I recently spent the day galavanting through Gulfport as I have done many times but this time was different. Instead of driving my vehicle, I decided to ride my bike. (It’s the pretty pink one in the pics…I know, I love it…don’t be jealous). That way I could get some excercise, not worry about parking and could stop at random to take pics to share with you. You’re welcome 😀 . You will thank me even more when you come to visit Gulfport. Whether you stroll through the unique shops, art galleries, boutiques, eat at any of the plethora of delicious restaurants, have drinks overlooking the bay, take the kids to play on the playground or walk your 4 legged friend through the streets and soak it all in, all I can say is you don’t wanna miss this place!
My ride. Isn’t she pretty?
You definitely need to stop at Omaddy’s for food and/or a libation and another favorite of mine is Neptune..where you can sit out front and eat, drink and be merry or what I love to do is go upstairs and do the same but enjoy the fabulous views of the water and watch the people! Whatever you decide to do in this little slice of paradise, you will not be disappointed.
One of the hotspots in Gulfport
Neptunes. To get the best view in the area you want to sit upstairs. Trust me on this one.
There are a few places to stay in town or you could rent a house. There is always something going on here from their weekly Tuesday Fresh Market, parades, craft exhibits, art walks, Gecko Crawl, it’s definitely a place to put on your bucket list. Oh and the sunsets? They are killer..just go! Take those pics and send them to your family and friends and they too will be planning a trip here or maybe asking you to take them 😛 .
Be ready to take it all in and take lots of pics cuz you definitely will wanna capture the moment and save the memory. If you would like more info on this glorious place, please shoot me an email. I am more than happy to put you in touch with my contacts for a visit or to relocate here. Did I mention the real estate market is booming here?
XOXO Sharon
