HONORING LOUISE HAY’S LIFE
October 8, 1926 – August 30, 2017
Today I would like to take a few moments in honoring Louise Hay’s life. There are a handful of people in my life that I truly admire and who have truly changed my life for the better and I can honestly say that Louise Hay http://louisehay.com was one of them.
We first met (well, not actually in person 😉 ) years ago when I began listening to self-help cassettes. Her words impacted me so much that I wanted more. So, I went out in search of books she had written and I immersed myself into her words and teachings.
Louise taught that our words have a huge impact on our lives and how we treat ourselves and others. And that holding onto negativity, blame and unforgiveness creates dis-ease in our bodies.
I admired how Louise didn’t allow age to stand in her way. At age 50 she published her first book, Heal Your Body in 1976 and in 1980 she began writing her workshop methods on paper.
In 1984, she wrote her second book, You Can Heal Your Life which became a New York Times Best Seller and spent 16 weeks on the list and sold over 50 million copies around the world.
In 1987, she began a small venture in the living room of her home that later turned into a hugely successful publishing company known today as Hay House, Inc.
Louise lived a very long life and passed at the age of 90. Ironically, she passed on the same date (2 years later) as another hugely inspirational person in my life, Dr. Wayne Dyer. She did so many wonderful things in her life and impacted so many people around the world.
Louise Hay, you have forever changed my life and for that I am so very grateful. I will do my best to carry on your teachings and I am very thankful that Hay House, Inc. will continue to honor your legacy.
Is there someone in your life who has truly made a life changing impact on you?
XOXO Sharon
