Maybe I’ll Just Do It Tomorrow

Procrastination:  To be slow or late about doing something that should be done:  to delay doing something until a later time because you do not want to do it.  This is one definition I found when I googled the word procrastination.  This is the word that came into my head today when I was thinking I needed to get serious about getting my blog started and out there for the world to see.

It’s been a year now since I had the vision of starting a blog.  It would be informative, inspirational, make you laugh and maybe even cry.  After many attempts to work on it, a very frustrated me would just put it away for another day.  You see, being the perfectionist that I am, I wanted my blog to WOW you with all of its colors and pictures and text.  But, I couldn’t get the pictures to load and discovered I had no earthly idea what I was doing!

Then I would get lost in looking at other blogs for inspiration and before I knew it, I had waisted the day away.  Yikes!  Then there were days I would work on the text.  That part I could do for sure.  I enjoy writing and teaching so this came easy to me.  I started to feel like a true blogger.  Ha!  But then I would worry again about not having pictures yet and that the blog wasn’t colorful enough and once again, a very frustrated me would put everything away for another day.

Well, my friends, today is the day!  I finally made the decision to start where I am at.  I decided it didn’t matter if my blog was perfect yet because the main thing was my words were out there for the world to see and that was the most important part.

So, please bear with me as this blog starts as a white canvas and develops into a beautiful field of wild flowers.  My intention is to inspire you, teach you, offer words of encouragement, make you laugh, take you to places you never thought you’d get to go to and most importantly to motivate you to live your very best life!  xoxo

How bout you?  What things have you been putting off until tomorrow?

XOXO Sharon
